At Sweet Heart Details, we love all animals, especially dogs.
Dogs are intelligent, loving creatures that love doing lots of different things, especially going on walks with YOU where they can do lots of smelling and exploring!
Unfortunately, many dogs are neglected or discarded. There are some incredible people who do their best to find, save, love and find nurturing homes for these innocents. It can be very expensive and we want to help by contributing ALL our profits, yes, 100% of profits, to help pay for food, gas, vets, etc.
Our beloved dog, Sydney, was found one day, by the side of the road, starving and dying. A wonderful man named Macon stopped and put her in his truck. They drove four hours to a vet who put her on IV fluids and hoped she would live over night. She did, but there was no one to take her and let her recover. Luckily we were able to take her. We didn't know what we were doing but the wonderful, caring people at Jemez Valley Animal Amigos came every day to support us and made sure we had all we needed. Together, we brought her back and she is the most wonderful friend and family member.
We want to help spread the word to not buy dogs from breeders. There are thousands of dogs put to death daily as there is no place to house them. When you are ready to welcome a friend into your home, visit your local animal shelter or rescue.
Dogs aren't property or toys. They should be cherished, cared for and loved. When you take one into your home, you are adopting a family member. If you don't have time to take them for a couple of nice walks a day, and to play with them, then they will be sad. They don't want to be left alone or left outside. They want to be with you. Our girl loves having a doggie door so she can run outside whenever she wants. Dogs love to do what they want, when they want, just like YOU!
They each have their own personalities and aren't robots or slaves. Treat them as you would your best friend and they will reward you with their lives and more love than you could imagine.
Nothing makes us happier than making a dog or any animal happy!
So ... there are lots of people out there helping, and we will we could support them all. We currently give to the following:

Everytime you enter the marketplace you vote for or against cruelty with your dollars. We hope you will choose cosmetics and cleaning products not tested on animals (everything at Trader Joe's is cruelty free!). Adopt dogs or cats from rescues or shelters, never buy pets from stores.
We are also spreading the word that people should be buying cruelty free products. Most of the name brands for makeup, shampoo, mascara, etc. do horrible things to bunnies and dogs. This is unnecessary and you can find wonderful products which avoid this process. If you want more information on this, you may google "animal testing". Most importantly, when shopping, use the Leaping Bunny guide.
Thanks for reading about our passion! 100% of profits go to these organizations. If you would like to contribute more specifically, you may make a donation here. Every dollar counts!
